Deals on meals to support local culinary community

The Conejo Valley is promoting its credentials as a foodie destination – coincidentally in time for the lifting of the indoor mask mandate.

From local flavors to craft brews and a wine scene, Conejo Valley Restaurant Week of special deals starts Friday, and aims to promote the area as a destination for foodies.

Kenneth Connell – the owner of The Waffle Experience in Thousand Oaks – says the timing worked out perfectly with the lifting of the indoor mask mandate in the county.

“We are still a new restaurant,” he told KCLU. “So it’s a great way for people who are looking for a nice restaurant experience and for a deal, to find us.”

“People are going to feel like it’s a lot more safe,” he said of the falling COVID numbers leading to the lifting of the indoor mask mandate.

“We are excited to host another restaurant week to encourage locals to celebrate and support our local culinary community,” said President/CEO of Visit Conejo Valley, Danielle Borja. “This is the perfect time for residents and visitors to take a tour throughout the diverse and thriving food culture of Conejo Valley.”

Visit Conejo Valley is hosting 3rd annual Conejo Valley Restaurant Week from February 18-27, 2022.
