Leslie Jones

Emmy nominated actress, comedian, writer and celebrated television personality, Leslie Jones, offers a night of stand-up comedy at the Fred Kavli Theatre on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 7:00 pm.

Leslie Jones is an entertainment powerhouse. She spent three seasons on long-standing sketch show Saturday Night Live, where she served as both writer and featured player. Her work on the show has garnered her an Emmy® Award nomination and inclusion on the Time 100 List. As a popular television personality, she has covered the most recent summer and winter Olympics on behalf of NBC and was the host of the 2017 BET Awards.

Jones recently wrapped production on season two of the HBO Max series Our Flag Means Death. The week of January 17th, 2023, Jones kicked off a new era of The Daily Show as the program’s first guest host. In 2021, she starred opposite Eddie Murphy in Coming 2 America for which she won an MTV Movie Award and was nominated for a People’s Choice Award. Jones will next produce an untitled Christmas comedy for Lionsgate which she is currently developing as a potential future starring role. Additionally, Jones co-hosts the podcast The Fckry withcomedian Lenny Marcus. Each week, Jones and Marcus interview guests and answer listener questions, while exposing “the fckry” of any given topic.

Jones is all about having fun.  Through the years that fun has encompassed wild times, crazy experiences, celebrity encounters and a few awkward mishaps.
