Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! The Conejo Valley is an ideal destination to visit this spring if you\u2019re looking to reconnect with nature and get outside to enjoy some hiking, cycling, horseback riding or running.<\/p>\n
You may not have guessed it, but the Conejo Valley is home to abundant outdoor space, including dozens of trails<\/a> perfect for outdoor recreation. Picturesque trails and sunny skies are a wonderful way for visitors to catch their breath in the great outdoors and take in the natural beauty of Conejo.<\/p>\n Out on the trails, you can take a leisurely, quiet horseback ride while taking in the surrounding views. You can hike through hills and find your way to see waterfalls. Or, you can take it up a notch with a brisk trail run or a speedy mountain bike excursion, finding inspiration in the beauty around you.<\/p>\n To celebrate Conejo\u2019s great outdoors, now through May 31, you can join in some extra fun on your trip with the Conejo Open Space Challenge 2017. This special fundraiser (put on by the Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency) encourages locals and visitors alike to experience the local trails \u2013 and hopefully to gain an appreciation of why it\u2019s so important to protect and preserve them.<\/p>\n The challenge is to check out the 10 best and most beautiful multi-use trails around Conejo (or as many of them as you can). Explore them any way you want \u2013 on foot, bike or horseback. To show that you\u2019re participating, snap a few photos while you\u2019re out in the open and tweet, Instagram or email them. You\u2019ll then be entered into a raffle for some great prizes!<\/p>\n The Conejo Open Space Challenge is a unique opportunity to make a difference while exploring a new destination.
