Symphony Goes to Cirque Combines Live Music and Acrobatic Artistry
Music and movement take center stage as Symphony Goes to Cirque comes to the Fred Kavli Theatre on November 7. Presented by New West Symphony, the performance pairs a live symphony orchestra with the aerial artistry and acrobatics of Troupe Vertigo for an evening where classical music meets contemporary circus.
Led by Music Director Michael Christie, the program features orchestral favorites performed alongside aerialists, contortionists, and acrobats whose movements bring a visual dimension to the music. The combination creates a theatrical concert experience designed for audiences of all ages.
Presented at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks, Symphony Goes to Cirque offers a unique opportunity to experience the power of a live orchestra and the excitement of circus arts together on one stage.
