Beethoven & Copland Bring Classical and American Spirit to Thousand Oaks

New West Symphony presents Beethoven & Copland at the Fred Kavli Theatre on October 3, bringing together classical tradition and distinctly American sounds. Led by conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong, the program opens with the timeless elegance and energy of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1.

The evening continues with Copland’s Old American Songs and Appalachian Spring, one of the defining works of American classical music. The performance also features Pacific Festival Ballet, directed by Kim Maselli, and the Los Robles Children’s Choir, directed by Emma Roche.

Presented as part of New West Symphony’s 2026 Masterpiece Series, the concert begins at 7 p.m. and offers an evening that bridges European classical tradition with the music, movement, and spirit of America.
