October through December is the right time for a festive time in Conejo Valley. Picture great Southern California weather and all kinds of unique experiences to enjoy in the fall and winter seasons. To make sure you don’t miss out on the best ones, we put together our list of favorites for you.

OCTOBER

REYES ADOBE DAYS

Oct 7 – Oct 9, 2022
Better known as RAD, this event is as awesome as it sounds. It has a fiesta, parade, rides (40K, 40 mile and 4-mile bike rides) and a 5K run. There’s also live music, food trucks, a beer garden, tours of the Reyes Adobe Museum and kid activities too.

UNDERWOOD FAMILY FARMS

Oct 1 – Oct 30, 2022
With a different theme every weekend in October, Underwood Family Farms has festivals for every age. Oct 8-9 is Farm Country Weekend, Oct 15-16 is Antique Tractor Weekend, Oct 22-23 is Wild West Weekend and Oct 29 -30 is All About Pumpkins Weekend. Each offers unique events including live music, a tractor parade, pig races, animal shows, a pumpkin patch, slides, kid activities and lots more.

NIGHTS OF THE JACK

Sept 30 – Oct 31, 2022
More than just a walking trail, this is an all-out, multi-sensory Halloween experience. Tucked in the Santa Monica Mountains, just 30 miles northwest of Hollywood, this 2/3 mile trail at King Gillette Ranch takes you through a mystical light show. Grab a hot cider or festive cocktail at their Spookeasy bar and some of our fall treats for your big and little kids. Photos are welcome, so enjoy!

PARAMOUNT RANCH SONIC BOOM

This outdoor concert will feature live performances by Rebirth Brass Band, Dustbowl Revival, Dom Flemons, as well as Yosmel Montejo y El Caliente, Eagle Rock Gospel Singers and Water Tower. In addition to the unique venue of Paramount Ranch, you can enjoy local craft vendors, food trucks and more throughout the festival grounds.

REIGN OF TERROR

This is a haunted house on a whole other level. It’s the largest indoor walk-through haunted house attraction in Southern California with more than 135 custom rooms in 10 different, inter-connected themed sections. It’s definitely got the lock on size, but don’t worry, they don’t really lock you in. If scary is your thrill, then you’ve got to check out this one.

TO ARTS AFTER DARK

Stagecoach Inn After Dark is putting together unique and eclectic line-ups for their concert series in October. It’s meant to showcase fresh and interesting artists to appeal to a variety of tastes and to possibly introduce you to something new. It’s all outdoors with festival seating and definitely worth the visit.

SPOOKY SILENTS: A SILENT FILM HALLOWEEN

Being so close to Hollywood, there’s definitely a strong film and art scene in Conejo Valley. On the Thursday before Halloween at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center, you can watch the classic horror film, Nosferatu with a live orchestra. Experience this 1922 expressionist German film in a very spooky way.

HASTA LA MUERTE

A spectacular Día de Los Muertos celebration, Hasta La Muerte is a multi-dimensional performance with music, dance, theater and folklore. It’s a mesmerizing experience with both original and traditional songs by Las Cafeteras and it’s all happening at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center.

BELINDA CARLISLE

Heaven is still a place on earth. Catch Belinda Carlisle, former lead singer of the Go-Go’s, the most successful all-female band of all time, in all her 80’s glory. She’s performing all her hits for one night only at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center.

TASTE OF CONEJO

Now in its 11^th year, a Taste of Conejo will take place at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Westlake. It’s your one-night-only chance to enjoy tastings from more than 60 of Conejo Valley’s food and beverage spots.

ALL AMERICAN CHRISTMAS AT THE RONALD REAGAN LIBRARY

Easily one of the most impressive presidential libraries, the Ronald Regan Museum & Library never disappoints. Their Christmas exhibit is brand-new this year with over 60 Christmas trees on display representing all 50 states and American territories. They also have a display showing all the Hanukkah Menorahs given to the President in the 80’s. Of course, Air Force One will still be available to tour as well as many other exhibits should you want to explore.

Acclaimed as one of the funniest females in comedy today, Niki Glaser is coming for one night only to the Fred Kavli Theatre on November 11. A stand-up comedian at clubs across the country for decades, you may also know her as the host of three hit podcasts. Her current podcast, The Nikki Glaser Podcast, can be heard through iHeartMedia and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Network.

CHRISTMAS CONCERTS

Christmas music is loved by many and at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center in December it will be performed by many as well. Winter Spectacular and Winterfest are both there on Dec 3. On Dec 11, there’s The Sound of Christmas Sing Along and the Nutcracker on Dec 17-18. Catch an Irish Christmas on Dec 21-22 and The Illusionists – Magic of the Holidays on Dec 22. Not to be out done, you can also enjoy Peppa Pig Live! on Dec 23. For Christmas-files, it may be best to pace yourself and for the rest, just choose your favorites.

At this popular shopping center there’s great shopping, wonderful restaurants and in December, Santa actually parachutes in from a helicopter right over it. They also usually have a Hannukah celebration that’s well worth checking out.
