September 27, 2021 View Website

Please join us for an in-person event with American radio  host and television presenter, political commentator, newspaper columnist, author, and lawyer Michael Smerconish for a program entitled, “It’s Time to Change the Channel.” Following the program, Michael will sign copies of his latest book, Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right (Publish Date: March 20, 2021). Copies of his book can be pre-purchased through our website’s registration process. To register for the event and/or to pre-purchase a book, please click here.

Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right covers the post-9/11 years, Barack Obama’s ascension, and the rise of Donald Trump. Smerconish describes meeting Ronald Reagan, having dinner with Fidel Castro, barbequing with the band YES in his backyard, spending the same night with Pete Rose and Ted Nugent, drinking champagne from the Stanley Cup, and conducting Bill Cosby’s only pretrial interview. All author proceeds benefit the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center, a Philadelphia- based, private, nonprofit agency that provides behavioral health services to children and their families.

Michael Smerconish is the host of the weekly Saturday TV program on CNN fittingly called “Smerconish.” He is also the host of The Michael Smerconish Program on SiriusXM, an author and public speaker.  Smerconish hosts “The Michael Smerconish Program,” a daily talk-radio program heard exclusively since 2013 on SiriusXM’s POTUS Channel 124. He has authored seven books: two are New York Times best sellers, and his novel TALK! was optioned for television by Warner Brothers. Smerconish is an attorney who once served in the Administration of President George Herbert Walker Bush when he was just 29-years old. He and his wife Lavinia have raised four children in suburban Philadelphia.

Due to changing COVID guidelines by the CDC, masks are now required to be worn indoors by all guests and staff (whether or not they’re vaccinated) at all federal facilities. As the Reagan Museum is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, masks are once again required while on our premises.
