Malibu Wine Hikes
Nestled within the 1100-acre Saddlerock Ranch, Malibu Wine Hikes offers a unique blend of viticulture, stunning landscapes, and wildlife. This expansive property, home to diverse flora and fauna, began its winemaking journey in 1992 with the planting of Sauvignon Blanc vines. Over time, the ranch flourished with hardy black grapes, yielding popular red wines like Malbec, Syrah, and their signature Cabernet Sauvignon, with the first vintage bottled in 1997. The ranch's awe-inspiring vistas and adventurous landscape are seamlessly integrated into their wine-tasting experiences, creating memorable excursions.
Malibu Wine Hikes provides a trio of distinctive wine tours tailored to various preferences. Guests can choose to navigate the rugged terrain in a 4x4 adventure tour, immerse themselves in nature with a guided hike, or cruise in style on a VW bus tour. The 4x4 tour, a two-hour guided experience, explores the vast ranch, stopping at notable areas for incredible views, photo opportunities, and visits to the historic Cave of the Four Horsemen, which features Chumash Native American cave paintings. Guests also enjoy a charcuterie board paired with ranch-made beverages. Similarly, the VW Wine Bus Tour offers a two-hour chauffeured journey through the vineyard's vistas, complete with delightful wine tastings, fun music, and an engaging tour guide, accommodating up to six people per vehicle and including wine and snacks.
