Follow Along “The Bachelor” Love Story at These Conejo Valley Film Locations

Posted on December 18, 2019 by Conejo Valley

America’s favorite guilty pleasure, The Bachelor, is coming back Jan. 6, 2020. Did you know the most-watched journey of finding love begins in Conejo Valley? Even better, this year Bachelor Nation will get to follow the love story of Peter Weber, a crowd favorite who also happens to be a Conejo Valley native!

Peter grew up just minutes from The Bachelor Mansion, which is tucked away in Agoura Hills. The famous location is where contestants make their first impressions.

Fun fact – The Bachelor Mansion doesn’t just house the show’s drama, but another local family. This family of six moves out twice a year for 42 days while the ABC crew remodels the rooms and shoots the first half of the season there.

Peter was first introduced to Bachelor Nation on season 15 of The Bachelorette where he competed for the heart of Hannah Brown. To make a lasting impression, he flew Hannah on a private plane over Conejo Valley – we bet this was the reason the two developed a deep connection later in the season! Although Hannah eliminated Peter before the season finale, he’s not giving up on love. Luckily, Peter is about to embark on his own journey showing off his home region to 30 women competing for him.

As you’re watching the season, plan a trip to Conejo Valley to follow the story along in real life. The region has been the backdrop for many episodes of the show for years, and you can check out some of the filming locations while you’re here!

The Canyon

Reality Steve has it, on one of the first episodes Peter takes a date to The Canyon to check out the local country scene. We get the appeal – this club offers some of the best bands, great food and a trendy yet comfortable atmosphere for a fun night.

Prominent Home

Since The Bachelor Mansion is private property, we don’t encourage you to drive by. Instead, head to another prominent house in Conejo Valley – Reyes Adobe Historical Site, the first built home in Agoura Hills. Take a guided tour and continue your journey at Giessinger Winery or Alma Sol Winery nearby where you can bid on contestants over a glass of local wine.

Remember the famous one-on-one of Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff on season 19? The couple was sharing a romantic day wine tasting when they stumbled upon a wedding and jumped to crash it. That wedding was on the Saddlerock Ranch and Vineyards near Conejo Valley.

If you followed Sean Lowe’s season, you might remember the fun group date where the bachelorettes fought for Sean’s heart in a game of beach volleyball. The group date took place at nearby Zuma Beach in Malibu. If we had to plan a date, we wouldn’t look past Zuma Beach either – its wide sand beaches and excellent surf make for a perfect time together!

After a busy day exploring The Bachelor side of Conejo Valley, finish it with the best of local brews at 14 Cannons Brewery & Showroom. Coincidentally, this brewery happens to be built by The Bachelor Mansion owner! Even if you don’t get the rose that night, maybe you can at least catch one of their unique beer and cupcake events.

Take a moment to say your goodbyes to your to-do list and plan your vacation to Conejo Valley today!
