Posted on June 13, 2016 by Conejo Valley

Celebrating its grand opening this month, the Backbone Trail debuts to the community after 40 years in the making. The trail stretches from Pacific Palisades to Malibu along ridges, chaparral-covered hillsides and oak woodlands while crossing creeks and valleys in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. It is open to hikers, mountain-bikers and horseback riders.
